We had a fantastic time on the Free Food Tour in Havana with Giselle as our guide! She was incredibly warm, passionate, and knowledgeable. Her energy and enthusiasm made the tour so enjoyable from start to finish. We got to sample a delicious variety of local delicacies including rich Cuban coffee, Tamal, a juicy beef burger, the classic Cuban sandwich, and more. Even when one of the local ice cream spots was unexpectedly closed, Giselle went above and beyond to make sure we didn’t miss out on that experience and found another way for us to try it! This tour is an absolute must for food lovers. One tip: come hungry! There’s a generous amount to taste, and it's a great way to explore both the flavors and the heart of Havana. Highly recommended!

We had an incredible experience on the Essential Tour in Havana with Strawberry Tours! Our guide, Shelman, was absolutely amazing; friendly, engaging, and incredibly knowledgeable. He brought the city’s vibrant history to life with fascinating stories and insights, and his passion for Havana was truly infectious. Exploring the colorful streets, colonial architecture, and cultural landmarks with Shelman made the tour not only informative but also so much fun. He was happy to answer all our questions, give great local tips, and even recommend hidden gems we wouldn't have discovered on our own. The pace was relaxed, the we were the only ones in the group, and everything felt well-organized and welcoming. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Havana. It’s the perfect introduction to the city, and if you’re lucky enough to get Shelman as your guide, you're in for a real treat!

Things to Do in Havana

Away from wandering the gorgeous streets of Havana, you have a wealth of things to do to make the most of your stay in Cuba. Take a tour of Havana in a classic car and see Havana in all its glory. Then what about heading out to Havana’s notorious nightlife? Travelers can have a wonderful mojito at just about any bar in Cuba. Hemmingway made the mojitos in Bodeguita del Medio famous, but there are plenty of choices. If you love music, then Cuba is a dream come true and boasts some of the best music in the world. Head out to see a cabaret while you are here. The Tropicana Club is the most famous, but there are cheaper options. Outside of the cities, a trip to Valle de Vinales, a UNESCO Site and tobacco plantation, is a must. It can get crowded, so more off-the-beaten-track options include the National Park, Tope de Collantes, and Playa de las Tumbas, a long journey but totally worth it.
