Free Cuban Revolution Tour Havana

We loved our tour with Gollo on the Cuban Revolution. He was very knowledgeable, helping us understand everything from pre-revolution, to the revolution itself, and the roles of Fidel and Che Guevara. It was great to really learn about Cuba's history in the 20th century, and how that impacts modern Cuba today. One last note: my husband is a coin collector but we were having difficulty finding coins in Havana. Gollo tracked us down the next day, and gave us coins that he had found for us. It was an incredibly kind gesture and we are so grateful!

Shelman was an amazing tour guide. His knowledge about Cuban history and current socio-economic conditions were commendable. He did the tour in both English and Spanish to accomodate people from different countries. He answered all our questions patiently. It was a pleasure learning more about the Cuban culture. I highly recommend using Strawberry tours and taking a tour with Shelman.

Things to Do in Havana

Away from wandering the gorgeous streets of Havana, you have a wealth of things to do to make the most of your stay in Cuba. Take a tour of Havana in a classic car and see Havana in all its glory. Then what about heading out to Havana’s notorious nightlife? Travelers can have a wonderful mojito at just about any bar in Cuba. Hemmingway made the mojitos in Bodeguita del Medio famous, but there are plenty of choices. If you love music, then Cuba is a dream come true and boasts some of the best music in the world. Head out to see a cabaret while you are here. The Tropicana Club is the most famous, but there are cheaper options. Outside of the cities, a trip to Valle de Vinales, a UNESCO Site and tobacco plantation, is a must. It can get crowded, so more off-the-beaten-track options include the National Park, Tope de Collantes, and Playa de las Tumbas, a long journey but totally worth it.
