After spending a morning exploring the center of the city and its sights, head to some of the other districts. Go to Andriivskyi Descent, which connects uptown Kyiv with Podil. This is a charming cobblestone street that is full of lovely architecture and has an arty bohemian vibe. Stop at one of the numerous cafes or rummage through the art for sale at one of the numerous stalls. The neighborhood of Podil, which is at the end of the descent, is one of the oldest in Kyiv and now one of the hippest. Full of interesting sights, artisan shops and cool bars, this is an area that is well worth exploring. Kyiv is a surprisingly green city and there are a number of green spaces that you can escape to, like the Hryshko National Botanical Garden. If you are in the mood to party, Kyiv is the right place to be. There’s a vibrant nightlife here with clubs, bars, and rooftop bars spread across the city.
