So, if shopping is on your to-do list, head to Patershol — a lovely cobblestoned area with restaurants and boutique shops. Or you can head to Vrijdagmarkt (Friday market) for a buzzing and lively atmosphere. Additionally, if you come to Ghent in December, you can visit the famous Christmas Market. While you are here, try the local delicacy, ‘Waterzooi’, a classic (and delicious) Flanders stew. When in Belgium, you must experience some of the hundreds of Belgian beers available to try.
