There are more the thirty colleges that make up Oxford University, on this tour you’ll have the opportunity to visit some of the most historical and stunning colleges. Its long and illustrious history can be traced back to 1096, making it the oldest university in the English-speaking world and the second oldest continuous university in the world! On this tour you’ll come across two of the oldest colleges, Balliol College and Merton College, with both colleges having been established in the 11th century.

On the University Free Tour, guests will come to understand how it became the powerful institution it is now. They’ll discover how the university boomed after Henry II banned students from studying at the University of Paris in 1167. Included on the tour is Trinity College, the former Durham College Monastery, where the first theology studies took place.
