We did this tour our first day in HCMC and it provided an excellent introduction to the city. Joseph was the first tour guide in our two weeks in Vietnam to give us comprehensive overview of Vietnam’s history, including the origin of the country’s name and maps to visualize where people have come and gone over the last two thousand years. We really enjoyed how he did the tour, and honestly would have loved to have such an overview earlier on in our time in Vietnam. Along the walking path, Joseph shared a lot of cool facts and pointed small details in buildings and streets that we otherwise would not have noticed. For our group, Joseph navigated differing member interests and a couple of obnoxious tour members in a very gracious way. Go in expecting to learn a lot, not just take photos, and you’ll come away with an much better understanding of HCMC and the country!
