Reigning over Tblisi is the Narikala Fortress, built in the fourth century. The short hike to the hill is steep but doable, and travelers will be rewarded with panoramic views over the city. The hill is also home to some of the most inviting cafés and restaurants in the city, so don’t forget to ask your guide for recommendations! Just next to the fortress, your group will stop next to Jummah Mosque. It’s famous for the beautiful blue tiles decorating the facade, but also because it’s one of the few places in the world where Sunnis and Shiites pray side by side. One landmark you can't miss in this area are the striking historic bathhouses. Under the old domes, there are pools of hot, sulfur-rich water that attract travelers from all around the world.
